Two people rushed to hospital after serious smash in Falkirk

Two people have been rushed to hospital after a serious crash in Falkirk last night involving two-vehicles.

Emergency services were called to the A9 Stirling Road, in Larbert, outside the luxury Glenbervie Golf Course, just before 8:30pm on Tuesday December, 14.

A number of mercy crews attended the smash, including specialist paramedics, and firefighters used hydraulic cutters to free one of the drivers who was trapped.

The road was closed in both directions (Falkirk Live)

Both people were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

The extent of their injuries are not known at this stage.

A Police Spokesperson said: "Around 8.25pm on Tuesday 14 December, 2021, police were made aware of a road traffic collision involving two vehicle on the A9 near Larbert.

"The drivers of both the vehicles were taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing."
