Two people have been rushed to hospital after a crash on a major route near Bristol.
The A46 was shut between the A4 for Bath and the A420 for Cold Ashton for number of hours after the two-vehicle collision .
Motorists were diverted away from the smash, which occurred at around 12pm today.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11:59 to reports of a road traffic collision, reportedly involving two vehicles.

"We attended with two ambulances and an operations officer.
"Two patients were taken to hospital for further treatment."
Long tailbacks built up in the area while emergency services investigated the incident.
The road reopened around 3:30pm.
