Two people rushed to hospital after 'serious' crash in Co Antrim

Two people have been rushed to hospital following a 'serious' road traffic collision in Ballycastle.

The crash happened on the Moygaret Road, Mosside shortly before 5pm on February 12.

It is understood that the collision involved three people.

The road was closed while emergency services, including the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, were in attendance.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said one patient was taken from the scene by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Meanwhile, NIAS dispatched one Rapid Response Paramedic, three Emergency Crews and one Ambulance Officer also attended to the scene.

Another person was taken by ambulance to Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

The PSNI advised motorists to seek an alternative route if possible.
