Two people rushed to hospital after horror rush hour crash on Scots road

Two people have been rushed to hospital after a horror rush hour smash in Glasgow.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Bridge Street after a car and a van collided at the Norfolk Street junction at around 6.35am.

Cops sealed off the area as ambulance crews rushed the pair to hospital.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The roads closed for over an hour before they reopened at 7.50am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a crash on Bridge Street at the junction with Norfolk Street in Glasgow involving two vehicles - a car and a van - around 6.35am on Thursday, 10 December.

"Emergency services, including police and the ambulance service, attended and two people have been taken to hospital.

"The road reopened around 7.50pm."
