Two people have been rushed to hospital following a four vehicle crash on a major Scots road.
Emergency services raced to the A82 Stirling Road, Dumbarton at around 9.20am on Tuesday, March 1.
According to witnesses, the vehicles which were involved in the collision included two lorries, a van and a car.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) also deployed three appliances and special resources to the scene.
However, all passengers had been removed prior to the arrival of fire crews.
Two people have now been taken to hospital , Police Scotland have confirmed.
One driver has been charged in connection with road traffic offences following the incident.
The roadway has since been cleared.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.20am on Tuesday, 1 March, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving four vehicles on the A82 Stirling Road, Dumbarton.
"Two people were taken to hospital following the crash and the roadway has been cleared.
"One driver has been charged in connection with road traffic offences.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 9.26am on Tuesday 1 March to reports of a road traffic collision at Dumbuck Quarry on the A82 involving a car, a van and a heavy goods vehicle.
"Operations Control mobilised three appliances and special resources to the scene, where all passengers were removed prior to our arrival.
"Crews left after making the area safe."
