Two people rushed to hospital after crash near Falkirk police station

Two people have been rushed to hospital after a crash in Falkirk town centre this afternoon.

Emergency service s were called out to West Bridge Street at around 12pm after reports of a collision between two cars.

Firefighters at the scene use specialist cutting equipment to free someone from a car.

It's not known how badly those involved have been injured.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 1200 hours today to attend a road traffic collision.

"We dispatched one ambulance and our special operations team to the scene. We transported two patients to hospital."

The road was closed, but has since reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 12pm on Monday, 19 April, 2021 following the report of a two vehicle road crash on West Bridge Street, Falkirk."

Emergency services attended and the road was closed but have since reopened."
