Two people rushed to hospital after car flips onto roof following Ayrshire road smash

Two people were rushed to hospital after a car flipped onto its roof following a crash on an Ayrshire road.

Ayrshire Live told yesterday morning that the A78 near to Pennyburn Roundabout was closed after three to four vehicles were involved in a collision.

Police closed the road as emergency services came to aid the injured shortly before 11am.

A Ford Fiesta was lying on its roof shortly after the crash took place on the major route.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service, said: “We received a call at 10.49am on Tuesday, February 16 to attend a road traffic collision near Stevenson.

"Ambulances and our SORT team attended the incident. Two patients were transported to Crosshouse Hospital.”
