Police are still attempting to recover the two bodies of a pair killed yesterday evening when a tree fell onto their car.
Officers were called to the scene on a country road in the Cotswolds at around 10.15pm last night following reports of a tree on a car.
Both of the people inside were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the accident, or the tree falling, to come forward.
The accident happened on the B4077 at Stanway Hill, near the Cotswolds town of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire Police say.
Officers were alerted to the crash by the ambulance service, although it is not clear who called the emergency services.
No details of those in the car have been released, although their next of kin have been informed.
Recovery and investigation work is still underway and motorists have been warned to avoid the area.
A Gloucestershire Police spokeswoman said: "The road remains closed north of Ford and at the Toddington roundabout, as recovery and investigation work continues at the scene.
"It is likely that the road will be closed for some time today and motorists are asked to find alternative routes.
"The next of kin of those who were in the vehicle have been informed."
Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact Gloucestershire Police on 101.
