Two people injured in crash on Queens Drive

Two people have been injured after a two car crash on Queens Drive.

The fire service had to cut a 23-year-old man from a black car by removing the roof.

A huge emergency service response descended on Queens Drive after the accident  around 3.20pm on Saturday (April 6).

Pictures from the scene show damage to both cars and debris strewn across the road which police officers were seen sweeping away.

They also show where the windscreen and roof of  the black car have been cut through by the fire service.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue told the ECHO that the young man was conscious and breathing and being treated by the ambulance service.
