Two people injured after five-vehicle smash on M74 near Glasgow


Two people have been injured after a five-vehicle smash on the M74 near Glasgow .

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 4pm after reports of a crash at the Raith Interchange southbound on junction five on Friday.

Officers closed one lane of the road after two people suffered minor injuries in the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police were called at 4pm on Friday, December 6, 2019 to reports of a five-vehicle RTC on the M74 at junction five southbound.

"It appears there are two people with minor injuries."

All lanes were reopened to drivers at 5.35pm according to Traffic Scotland.
