Two people hospitalised after horror road crash on A811 near Gartocharn

Two people were rushed to hospital after a horror road crash on a busy route near Gartocharn yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

The incident occurred at around 3.10pm on the A811, just beyond the village towards Drymen, with emergency services rushing to the scene - which was closed for several hours in the aftermath.

Two vans and a car were involved in the collision, with Police Scotland confirming that a male and female occupant of one of the vans had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Road Policing Officers at Dumbarton are continuing their enquiries into a serious road crash involving two vans and a car on the A811 near to Gartocharn around 3.10pm on Thursday, 25 February. A man and woman from one van were taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries."
