TWO people who were arrested in the Highlands in connection with vandalism at the Trump Turnberry golf course have been charged.
On March 8, activists targeted Donald Trump’s golf course in South Ayrshire in a protest over the US president’s position on Gaza.
A 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident following enquiries in Oban last month.
(Image: Milo Chandler) The pair are due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Police confirmed the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
Four other people have so far been charged in connection with the incident.
A 33-year-old man appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on March 31, while another 33-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman appeared on April 7.
A 21-year-old woman was also charged in connection and appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Friday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two people arrested in connection with damage to a golf course and a hotel on Maidens Road, Turnberry, have been charged. "A 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were arrested following enquiries in Oban on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
