Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was hit by a car in Harehills.
The 24-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with minor injuries after the collision in Foundry Approach, Harehills, at around 12.40am on Saturday, November 23.
Police say a silver Vauxhall Corsa "appeared to have been deliberately driven at her and two friends" after they had an altercation with the occupants.
Police have launched an attempted murder investigation and arrested a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman. They have both been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
A police spokesman said: "A 24-year-old woman pedestrian had been knocked down by a silver Vauxhall Corsa that appeared to have been deliberately driven at her and two friends following an altercation with the occupants shortly before.
"The car left the scene.
"The woman was taken to hospital for treatment but was found to have received only slight injuries and was discharged later that morning.
"A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to the incident.
"They were later released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing. The vehicle involved remains outstanding.
