
Two people have been arrested after a 41-year-old man was shot dead in south London.
Officers from Met Police arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder on Sunday. A 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in police custody.
An investigation was launched after police were called to reports of a shooting near the Costco superstore in Imperial Way, Croydon, just after 5pm on Thursday.
A 41-year-old man was treated by paramedics but sadly died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, police said.
Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten said: "My thoughts remain with the victim’s family as they come to terms with this tragic loss. Our team of specially trained officers continue to support them as our investigation progresses.
"We would urge any witnesses to come forward and share information with us."
