Pedestrians injured in Melbourne CBD hit-and-run

Two pedestrians have been injured after being hit by a car, which did not stop, near Melbourne's Flinders Street station, Victorian police have said.

The incident happened about 6:30pm during a rainy peak hour at the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets.

Investigators said they were searching for the driver, who did not stop at the scene.

Ambulance Victoria said one of the injured men was taken to the Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

The other man had minor injuries and didn't require further treatment.
