Two parkHIIT events planned this weekend for Ashtown and Phoenix Park

Fitness enthusiasts on the northside will be getting together this weekend for a pair of free outdoor HIIT (high-intensity interval training) sessions in Ashtown and Phoenix Park.

The events, which are organised by health and wellness expert Brian Crooke, are suitable for all fitness levels.

"You're only up against one person at parkHIIT and that's yourself," says Brian. "You push yourself as hard as you can or want!"

If you're heading along, you are advised to bring your own mat if you want to keep off the grass, to wear comfortable clothing and footwear and be prepared for the Irish weather.

"Bring a bottle of water and your own bodyweight," Brian adds. "Rain, hail or shine we will be working out!"

The Ashtown session meets at 8:55am on Saturday 12th October at the outdoor exercise stations across from Plunkett's club house in Martin Savage Park.

Sunday's session in the Phoenix Park starts at 10am, and partipants should meet inside the park, opposite the gate through to the Hole In The Wall pub - location here. There's free porridge in the pub after the session.
