Two out of three analysts on Good Morning Football say the Vikings will miss Stefon Diggs

The ‘Good Morning Football’ crew recently discussed whether the Vikings will miss Stefon Diggs next season.

And while Michael Robinson said that Minnesota will be fine without Diggs, the other two analysts who were tasked with the question said otherwise.

GMF analyst Peter Schrager explained why he believes the Vikings will miss Diggs:

“It was time for both sides to part here, but they’re going to miss his veteran presence,” Schrager said. “Don’t get it twisted: I know a lot of people in the Vikings organization and I know a lot of these Vikings players. Stefon Diggs is a good guy and a well-liked teammate.”

Shaun O’Hara agreed with Schrager, saying that Justin Jefferson has big shoes to fill.

It’s not all bad, though, Vikings fans. Robinson said he doesn’t think the Vikings will miss Diggs. Here’s why:

“This is no slight to Stefon Diggs. He’s going to have a great year in Buffalo as they win the AFC East, but that’s a whole other conversation,” Robinson said. “This Minnesota Vikings offense is led by Dalvin Cook, guys. That’s why they’re not going to miss him. They’re going to continue to run the football. They’re going to continue to lean on that offensive line. They’re going to continue to be explosive in the passing game.”

Robinson acknowledged that former offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski left this offseason to become head coach of the Browns, but he mentions how Cousins and Cook being vital to the team’s success means that Minnesota won’t be missing Diggs. Here’s to hoping Robinson is right, and Jefferson steps up when the team needs him.
