A new series of ‘Gogglebox Ireland’ kicks off tonight with two brand new families set to make their debut.
The Gogglebox families have been waiting months to let loose and have their say on the pandemic and every other crazy event from 2020.
And tonight, Ireland’s favourite TV critics are back for a brand new season with some new faces set to join them in the armchair commentating.
Spreading across the country, the cast will be as vocal as ever as they divulge in the countless boxsets and TV shows we’ve all been glued throughout the summer of lockdown.
And while the viewer favourites are back, there will be some changes in layout, including new sofas for some of the households in order to adapt to social distancing.
The Tullys infamous sofa has been consigned to the attic in favour of two recliners set two meters apart.
The first episode this evening introduces two brand new households, The Saunders from Kilkenny and Tallaght natives Gary, his wife Lariche and her two brothers Blair and Gilmar.
For the first time ever, Gogglebox Ireland heads to Marble City where homecare worker Helen and retired Garda Der have been together for nearly 40 years with their four sons.
Three of Saunders kids will join the couple on their comfy corner sofa in tonight’s show.
Also joining the cast tomorrow night is Tallaght native Lariche and her husband Gary who met growing up in the Dublin suburb before moving to Lucan to start a family.
The pair are joined by Lariche’s football-mad younger brothers Gilmar and Blair who regularly pop down the road to get stuck into anything that’s on the box, with a healthy diet of sports documentaries and The Kardashians featuring on the menu.
Gogglebox Ireland airs tonight, Wednesday 9th September at 9pm on Virgin Media One.
