Two new faces in Liverpool training as Takumi Minamino joins up with players on pitch

Takumi Minamino has taken part in his first Liverpool training session.

The Japan international, who will officially join from Red Bull Salzburg on January 1 , was purchased earlier this month when the Reds triggered his relatively low £7.25million release clause.

The 24-year-old is set to add some depth to Jurgen Klopp's forward options and was seen at training alongside the likes of attackers Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino.

He was also spotted mixing in with defender Trent Alexander-Arnold and goalkeeper Adrian while Nat Phillips, the 22-year-old who has returned from loan at Stuttgart to bolster the Reds' defensive options, was also in attendance.

Minamino could make his debut for the Reds in the FA Cup on January 5 when they face Everton at Anfield.
