Two more teens charged over Mitcham hit-and-run

Police have charged another two teens over the death of motorcyclist Keith Stevens who was killed in a fiery hit-and-run at Mitcham in Melbourne's east.

Mr Stevens, 33, died in hospital on Thursday, a day after he was struck by a stolen black BMW four-wheel drive at the intersection of Glenburnie Road and Orient Avenue.

He suffered significant fractures and burns to 50 per cent of his body after the car dragged his motorcycle 85 metres before it burst into flames.

An 18-year-old Berwick man is due to appear in court on Sunday morning charged with offences including aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and home invasion.

A 17-year-old boy from Patterson Lakes will appear in court at a later date charged with offences including several counts of aggravated burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

An 18-year-old man from Seaford and a 17-year-old from Mooroolbark were charged late last week over the hit-and-run and an aggravated burglary on Wednesday.

Mr Stevens was a sheet metal worker who was born in Scotland and lived in Mitcham.

He was on his way home when he was struck.
