Two more people have died with coronavirus in Greater Manchester's hospitals

Two more people have died in Greater Manchester's hospitals after testing positive for coronavirus.

The region's hospital death toll now stands at 4,031, according to the latest NHS figures.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust each recorded one more death in the last 24 hours.

The total number of coronavirus deaths at hospital trusts in Greater Manchester, as of Monday, December 21, are :

  • Bolton NHS Foundation Trust - 437
  • Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust - 9
  • Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust - 750 (+1)
  • NHS Nightingale Hospital North West - 6
  • Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust - 1,133
  • Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust - 7
  • Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust - 356 (+1)
  • Stockport NHS Foundation Trust - 333
  • Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - 431
  • The Christie NHS Foundation Trust - 19
  • Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust - 550

Nationally 190 coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in hospitals in England.

It brings the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 46,578, NHS England said on Monday.

Patients were aged between 41 and 103.

All except five, aged between 72 and 91, had known underlying health conditions.

The deaths were between November 24 and December 20.
