CHANDIGARH: Haryana on Monday reported two new Omicron cases from Faridabad as the state reported 85 new Covid-19 cases and 27 recoveries during the day.
2.94 lakh plus people were given the vaccine during the day. No death was reported.
With this the cumulative count of Omicron cases has gone to 12 while overall count of Covid cases in the state has gone to 77,27,18 cases, 762097 recoveries, 10062 deaths and 536 active cases.
According to information, both the Omicron cases were identified as Male (37 years) and Female (53 years). While Gurugram topped the table with 61 new cases. Faridabad reported eight new cases followed by three cases from Ambala, two cases each from Sonipat, Panchkula, Yamunaangar and Jhajjar districts. While one case each was reported from Karnal, Panipat and Kaithal districts.
Six districts namely, Mahendergarh, Jind, Rewari, Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri and Nuh retained the status of Covid free districts.
On the vaccination front, of the total 29,43,74 jabs of the day, first dose was given to 87013 persons while second dose was given to 207361 persons. Cumulative coverage of Covid-19 vaccination of the state has reached 33019520.
Meanwhile, positivity rate of the day was reported to be 0.33% while, cumulative positivity rate, fatality rate and recovery rate were reported to be 5.35%, 1.30% and 98.63% respectively.
