Two more men arrested in connection with brutal murder of teenager Keane Mulready-Woods

Two more men have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of teenager Keane Mulready Woods.

The 17-year-old was brutally tortured, murdered and dismembered after he was abducted in the Ballsgriove area of Co Louth in a brutal killing that horrified the nation in January.

Parts of the teen's body were found by a group of teenagers inside a black sports bag thrown from a car at Moatview Drive in Darndale.

Two days later, his severed head was found in a burning car on Trinity Terrace just off Clonliffe Road in Drumcondra. His torso has never been recovered.

A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the investigation into Keane's murder on Tuesday.

Gardai confirmed this afternoon that two more men, one in his 20s and one in his 40s, were arrested this morning.

A garda spokeswoman said: "A man in his early 20s was arrested shortly after 7am this morning and is currently detained at Dundalk Garda Station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

"Another man also in his early 20s was arrested shortly after 10am this morning and is currently detained at Mountjoy Garda station under the provisions of Section 42 of the Criminal Justice Act 1999."

The man arrested on Tuesday continues to be detained at Drogheda Garda Station.
