Two more charged over Para Vista alleged murder

The Para Vista street where the man was allegedly murdered.

Two more people have been charged in connection with an alleged murder in Adelaide's north-east two weeks ago.

Police yesterday arrested a 23-year-old Murray Bridge man and a 20-year-old Monarto woman at a house in Murray Bridge.

They are expected to face the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court today.

The man has been charged with murder, serious criminal trespass and theft, while the woman has been charged with assisting a murder offender and trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis.

Another man — 35-year-old Aaron Donald Carver — appeared in court in Adelaide on Monday charged with the murder of a 46-year-old Albanian man in Para Vista on October 9.

He was extradited from Queensland over the weekend.

Police allege the home of the victim was being used as a cannabis grow house and that up to seven men were seen transferring cannabis plants from the victim's car into a white Holden Commodore and another dark-coloured car.

They claimed the offenders were part of a criminal group based in Murray Bridge.

Mr Carver was remanded in custody to appear in court again in six months' time.

Major Crime Investigation Branch officer in charge Des Bray said investigation work, including property searches and interviews, were continuing to be conducted both in South Australia and interstate.

"Detectives are confident of further arrests as the investigation continues," Superintendent Bray said.
