The spate of violence against police in the Hunter and Central Coast has traveled north, with officers allegedly kicked in the head and subjected to blood being spat at them.
It came as a third man was charged over his alleged involvement in a wild arrest at Hamilton South earlier this week.
The latest in the wave of incidents took place at Tuncurry, taking the tally of officers allegedly assaulted between the Central Coast and Mid North Coast to 11 since June 16.
Police were called to John Wright Park after reports of a brawl on Thursday evening.
There, officers found a 26-year-old man with blood on his face who was allegedly threatening nearby people.
Police said Samuel Giles Colecrook kicked two officers in the head after he was handcuffed - one of the officers was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The 26-year-old was subdued and taken to Forster Police Station, where he allegedly spat blood on two officers.
Colecrook pleaded guilty in Kempsey Local Court on Friday to affray, resisting an officer in the execution of duty, and four counts of assaulting an officer in the execution of duty.
He was granted conditional bail and will be sentenced on August 5.
Meanwhile a third man was charged on Thursday for his alleged involvement in a dramatic arrest at Hamilton South on Tuesday..
Bodycam footage of Tuesday's arrest has been widely circulated, after man approached a senior constable brandishing a knife as the officer was sitting in a car with the window down.
A second man was charged on the day for aggressively interfering with the arrest as a group of onlookers hurled abuse at police.
The third man charged - a 22-year-old Matthew Bellinger - is accused of kicking a police vehicle as the chaos unfolded before allegedly fleeing the scene.
Mr Bellinger pleaded not guilty in Newcastle Local Court on Thursday to possessing a prohibited drug, malicious damage and affray.
He granted bail and will face court again on August 3.
