Two-month-old baby and toddler rescued from Nottingham house fire

A two-month-old baby and three-year-old child were rescued from a house fire.

The fire broke out at a home in Cuillin Close, Rise Park, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, August 4.

The young children and a 40-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were all rescued from the detached home using a nine-metre ladder.

Three fire engines from the Arnold, Stockhill and Hucknall stations attended.

Crews used a hose reel jet, breathing apparatuses and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

The family were treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to the Queen's Medical Centre.

An investigation to determine the cause of the fire has been launched.

Arnold Station Manager Paul Harley said: "Crews did an excellent job, working well as a team to rescue residents as quickly as possible and extinguish the fire."
