Two 12-year-old girls from Renfrew have been reported missing, prompting police to appeal for information.
Concern is growing for Lara Ann Bennett and Ava Galvin who were last seen at 9am yesterday (Monday).
Lara Ann is described as 5 feet 5 inches in height, white Scottish, short red hair while Ava is described as 5 foot 3 inches in height with brown curly hair.
The Renfrewshire Police division's appeal states: "Police are looking for the assistance of the public to trace two missing girls, Lara Ann Bennett age 12 and Ava Galvin age 12 missing from the Renfrew area.
"Both girls were last seen at approx. 0900 hours on Monday 14th September 2020. Lara Ann is described as 5 feet 5 inches in height, white Scottish, short red hair, when she was last seen she was wearing black leggings, black hooded top, black trainers, black Ellesse bag. Ava is described as 5 foot 3 inches in height with brown curly hair and when last seen she was wearing black leggings, black hoodie and black trainers.
"If you have seen the girls or have any information which may assist the enquiry please contact 101 quoting incident number 1456 of 14/9/2020."
