Two men to appear in court charged in relation to murder of Tallaght man Vincent Parsons

Two men are to appear in court this morning charged in connection with the murder of Tallaght man Vincent Parsons.

Tragic dad-of-two Parsons, 34, died on after he was violently assaulted in the Killinarden Estate in Tallaght on Saturday, August 24.

Vincent was at a stag night in a local pub that night and was found at around 11.10pm in the nearby Killinarden Estate following a vicious attack.

He was rushed to Tallaght Hospital by Gardaí where he was pronounced dead on Monday, August 26.

It is believed he was followed in a van by at least two people who were not known to him when the attack took place.

Two men were arrested on separate occasions in August and September but were later released.

Gardai confirmed yesterday that two men had been re-arrested as part of their investigation.

A garda spokesperson said: "Two males in their 20s were re-arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to the fatal assault of a man in Killinarden, Tallaght on Saturday 24th August 2019.

"They are currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. Investigations are ongoing."

The men will appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court (Criminal Courts of Justice No.1) at 10.30am on Wednesday.
