Two men threaten staff with knife and hammer and steal cash from shop in Drogheda, Co Louth

Two men armed with a knife and a hammer stole money from a shop in Drogheda, Co Louth.

The incident happened at around 1.20pm in the Ballsgrove area of the town.

Both men entered the shop and threatened staff with the weapons before leaving with a small amount of cash.

A garda spokesman added: "No arrests have been made to date enquires are ongoing."
