Two men suffered head injuries that required hospital treatment, following reports of an attack in April.
Police have reported an assault happened on Goose Gate at the junction with Carlton Street in Nottingham city centre.
The incident happened around 2.50am on Friday, April 19.
Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
They are also appealing for any witnesses and information to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 71 of April 19 2019.
