Two men taken to hospital after motorbike crash in County Durham

Two people were taken to hospital after a motorbike crash in County Durham.

Emergency services attended a collision on the A167, Rogerson Terrace, Croxdale, at around 11.25pm on Friday.

The incident involved a black Pioneer motorbike travelling northbound and a silver Vauxhall Corsa southbound when they collided near a roundabout.

A marked Police dog van was in the vicinity at the time and officers gave first aid before the ambulance service arrived.

The 21-year-old driver of the motorbike suffered leg and wrist injuries while his 20-year-old pillion passenger fractured his leg.

Paramedics treated them both at the scene before transporting them to hospital.

The 36-year-old driver of the Corsa escaped without any injuries.

Durham Constabulary has launched an appeal to track down anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage.
