Two men were taken to hospital after being stabbed at a nightclub in Withington.
Police were called to the incident on Wilmslow Road at around 1.45am on Thursday morning (January 30).
Two men, aged 22 and 21, were taken to hospital after being stabbed, police say.
They suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The name of the nightclub has not been released by GMP.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information or any witnesses to come foward.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "A 33-year-old man has been arrested after two men were stabbed in Withington.
"At around 1.45am on Thursday 30 January 2020 police were called to a report of a stabbing at a nightclub on Wilmslow Road in Withington.
"Two men, aged 22 and 21, were taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.
"A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody for questioning."
In a tweet, GMP's Tactical Dog Unit said a police dog, police helicopter and officers detained a male suspect who was 'hiding in a garden'.
They said: "Great teamwork in Withington during the early hours with PD Crank, the National Police Air Service North West and B Response in locating and detained a male suspect hiding in a garden.
"He had made off from patrols following an incident where two males sustained serious knife wounds."
