Two men taken to hospital after being hit by car on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street

Two men were taken to hospital after being hit by a car in the city centre.

The pedestrians were on Scott Street, at its junction with Sauchiehall Street, around 8.20pm on Sunday when they were hit by a silver Mercedes car.

Emergency services attended the scene and the men were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and treated for their injuries.

Investigations are now ongoing into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers received a report of a collision involving a car and two pedestrians on Scott Street at the junction with Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow.

"The incident was reported around 8.20pm on Sunday, 26 July, 2020 when a silver Mercedes car collided with two men. The men were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
