Two men suffer head injuries after fight at Wetherspoons pub in Cwmbran

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were injured following "disorder" at a Wetherspoons pub in Cwmbran last weekend.

The incident took place just before 1am on Saturday, August 22 at The John Fielding.

Gwent Police said the altercations occurred inside and outside of the premises on Caradoc Road.

A force spokeswoman said: "As a result of the incidents two men were taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital with head injuries, they have since been discharged.

"Three men have been arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. One of these men is 24 and from the Pontypool area, and the other two are both 26 and from Cwmbran."

The three arrested men have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Gwent Police is currently investigating the incident, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it or anyone with information relating to it to call 101 quoting 2000306430.
