Two men stabbed to death in separate incidents in London within less than an hour

Two men were stabbed to death in London this evening within an hour of each other.

At 7.15pm Met Police were called to the fatal knifing of a man in his 20s in Walthamstow with another man, also in his 20s, also suffering knife wounds.

His condition is not life-threatening.

At 8.11pm officers were also called to reports of a fight in the Edgware area but were unable to find any victims.

However soon afterward Scotland Yard was contacted by the London Ambulance Service about a man who had been stabbed.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

A statement from the Met said: "After a search of a car found at the scene, a man, in his 30s, was found inside a vehicle with stab wounds.

"Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was declared dead a short time later."

No arrests have been made in either investigation.

Last month, the number of murders in 2019 topped last year's shocking toll of 132.
