Two men have been seriously assaulted in an "unprovoked attack" while they were trying to enjoy a night out in Glasgow.
The incident occurred between the Holland Street and Pitt Street junctions of Sauchiehall Street in the city centre on Sunday August 1.
The pair, both aged 23, were approached by a group of three men at around 12.20am and assaulted them, causing serious head injuries.
At the time they were taken to hospital, but both have since been released and the assault was then reported to Police Scotland on Thursday August 26.
The first suspect has been described as a white male, in his late teens to early 20s, with a stocky build and wearing a dark puffer jacket.
A white male, either in his late teens or early 20’s, with dirty blonde hair is described as the second suspect of the three.
He was wearing dark blue jeans and a white Palm Angels t-shirt at the time of the incident.
The third suspect was also described as a white male, late teens to early 20’s but wearing a dark t-shirt and light joggers.
Police officers are now appealing for people who may have any information relating to the assault to get in touch with them.
Detective Constable Andy Reid, from Glasgow City Centre CID, said: "This was an unprovoked attack on two young men enjoying a night out in the city centre. The assault has left the victims with serious injuries.
"I am appealing to members of public to get in touch if they were in the area at the time of the incident and may have witnessed the assault.
"I would also like to speak with a man who was pushed off of a bench near to where the assault took place by two of the suspects."
