Two men rushed to hospital after 'serious assault' in Glasgow

Two men have been rushed to hospital after an alleged serious assault in North Glasgow.

Officers were called to the scene on Liddesdale Road in the Milton area of the city at around 7.50pm last night, July 9.

Two men were taken to hospital, one to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the other to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, reports Glasgow Live.

Police say a man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault, with enquiries in the area ongoing this morning.

A spokesperson said: "Two men have been injured following an incident in Liddesdale Road, Glasgow.

"Officers were called there around 7.50pm on Saturday evening and two men were taken to hospital (QEUH and GRI).

"One man was been arrested in connection with a serious assault and enquiries are continuing."
