Two men rushed to hospital after rammy outside Scots hotel as cops launch probe

Two men have been rushed to hospital following a rammy outside a Scots hotel.

Police have launched a probe after the bust up happened outside the Rosslea Hotel in Rhu, a small village in Argyll and Bute.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the alarm was raised at around 10pm on Saturday, October 23.

A 27-year-old man had been seriously assaulted and was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Meanwhile a 42-year-old man had also been assaulted and he was taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.

Police in Argyll and West Dunbartonshire are appealing for information following the incident.

Detective Inspector Fiona Macarthur, of Dumbarton CID, said: "We know the hotel area would have been relatively busy at the time and the consequences of this incident could have been far worse.

"We're appealing to people who witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to contact us."
