Two men rushed to hospital after rammy outside Scots hotel

Two men have been rushed to hospital after a disturbance outside a hotel in Argyll and Bute.

Officers were called to Ferry Road in Rhu at around 10pm last night, Saturday October, 24, following reports of a fight outside the Rosslea Hotel.

A 27-year-old suffered serious injuries as a result of the attack and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he is being treated by medics.

A 42-year-old man was also assaulted and rushed to the Royal Alexandria Hospital.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening though.

Detective Inspector Fiona Macarthur, of Dumbarton CID, said: "We know the hotel area would have been relatively busy at the time and the consequences of this incident could have been far worse.

"We're appealing to people who witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to contact us.

"You can contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 4135 of 23 October.

"Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
