Two men rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Rutherglen attack

Police are appealing for information after two men were stabbed in an attack near Glasgow .

Emergency services rushed to the scene on King Street and Main Street in around 3.20pm on Tuesday January 21.

One eyewitness said that there were around 30 police officers in the area as they investigated the incident.

The victims, aged 35 and 37, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where they were treated for stab wounds.

They have since been released.

Cops describe the suspects as men in their early 20s who were wearing dark clothing.

Detective Constable Derek Young at Cambuslang CID said: “We have very limited information regarding the motive for these assaults and can only describe the suspects as being men in their early 20’s who were wearing dark clothing.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time these assaults took place and may have witnessed the incidents or anyone who may have captured them on their dash cams.”
