Two men released on bail after alleged assault outside town centre bar

Two men arrested after a fight outside a bar in Bolton have been released on bail.

The men - aged 33 and 34 - were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and another man was rushed to hospital.

It followed an incident outside Kahiki Hideout, in Bradshawgate, in the early hours of Wednesday morning (December 29).

A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said: "Police were called shortly after 5.10am on 29 December to a report of a disturbance outside of a bar on Bradshawgate, Bolton.

"Officers attended and enquiries established that a man had been assaulted during a fight with two other men.

"The male victim – was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Two men aged 34 and 33 were arrested on suspicion of Section 18 Assault."

This morning (Friday December 31) GMP confirmed that the men have been released on bail.
