Two men charged with the murder of 17-year-old Aamir Siddiqi have given their names in Cardiff Magistrates Court today.

Ben Hope, 36, of Richmond Road and Jason Richards, 35, of North Road, both appeared before magistrates charged with the murder of Aamir and attempted murder of his parents who were both wounded in an attack on Sunday 11 April in Ninian Road near Roath park. The men spoke only to confirm their name and address.

The next appearence will be at Cardiff Crown Court this Wednesday 21 April. Hope will be represented by Geraint Richards and Richards will be represented by Trudie McBride. Prosecuting is Tony Dicken.

Another 39-year-old man who was arrested last week in connection with the murder was released on bail pending further inquiries.

Anyone who has information on Aamir's death is asked to contact the incident room at Cardiff Central Police Station on 02920 571 530 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
