Two men were left with head injuries after an assault in the Lace Market.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to an assault on the Goose Gate junction with Carlton Street in Nottingham at around 2.50am on April 19.
Detectives are now appealing for witnesses and information following the incident.
The two men required hospital treatment following the attack.
A spokesman for the police said: "The force also wants to speak to a group of people who interjected in the altercation to help find the offender.
"If you have any information please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 71 of 19 April 2019."
