
Two men have been injured in a stabbing attack outside a barbershop in south London.
The men – aged 35 and 26 – were allegedly involved in the altercation outside K1 Barbers on Sutton High Street in Sutton just after 2pm on Monday (July 21).
Both were taken to hospital and consequently arrested in connection with the incident.
Pictures of the high street depicted broken glass on the pavement, blood stains, and ripped garments.
An air ambulance was also spotted landing at the nearby Sutton Green and the high street was cordoned off.
The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for more information.
In a statement to The Standard, the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 14:13hrs on Monday, 21 July to reports of a stabbing in Sutton.
“Officers were joined by London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance at a barber shop on the High Street. Two men, aged 35 and 26, were then hospitalised – one with knife injuries.
“Their injuries have been declared as non-life-changing and non-life-threatening, and they have been arrested in connection with the incident.
“Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
