Two men injured after Ayrshire car crash

Two men were injured after an Ayrshire car crash sparking a police investigation.

A 22-year-old driver and his 22-year-old male passenger were hurt after losing control of the vehicle.

A man was then issued with a fixed penalty ticket in relation to a road traffic offence.

Officers swarmed the scene which happened at around 4pm on Sunday near the A736 at the junction of the B778 near to the Blair Tavern.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 4pm on Sunday, 10 January, 2021, police attended a report of a one vehicle road traffic crash on the A736 at the junction of the B778 near to the Blair Tavern.

"The 22-year-old driver and his 22-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries.

"A 22-year-old man was issued with a fixed penalty ticket in relation to a road traffic offence."
