Two men have been hospitalised after a horror van crash in Ayrshire.
Mercy crews raced to Saltcoats on the A78 after the alarm was raised at around 6.30am this morning.
Two drivers were rushed to Crosshouse Hospital for their injuries after a van and car collided at the Sharphill Roundabout.
The state of their conditions is unknown at this time.
One eye witnesses reported: "Big crash at Saltcoats bypass roundabout car on its side and kelburn van totally smashed up contents of van everywhere."
Enquires are continuing.
Police Scotland: "Around 6.30am on Friday, 19 March, police were called to a report of a road crash involving a car and a van on the A78 at the Sharphill Roundabout, Saltcoats.
"Emergency services attended and the two male drivers were taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment."
