Two men due before Tullamore court charged over €3.9 million cannabis seizure in Co. Laois

Two men are due before court today charged in connection with a massive seizure of cannabis in Co Laois earlier this week.

The men aged in their 40s will appear before Tullamore District Court this morning.

They and two other men aged in their 30s were all arrested after Gardai seized an estimated €3.9 million worth of cannabis herb and suspected cannabis products when searching a vehicle in the in the Raheen area on Wednesday.

They were all arrested on the scene and were held under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The two other men arrested during the operation remain in Garda custody.
