Two men have tragically been found dead hours after what is believed to be a one-vehicle crash on a Scots road.
Emergency services rushed to the A836 at Torroble, near Lairg, around 3.20pm on Sunday October 16. A white Mazda RX8 was discovered and two men, aged 25 and 24, were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers believe the car left the road some time before it was found and reported to police. Anyone who was travelling on the road from the early hours of Sunday morning until the car was discovered is being urged to come forward.
The road was closed for around ten hours to allow a full investigation to take place.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay, of Dingwall Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances of this crash are at an early stage and our thoughts remain with the families of these two young men.
"I would ask anyone who was travelling on the road from the early hours of Sunday morning until the car was reported to police to contact officers.
“If there are any motorists with dashcam footage that were in the area around the time of the incident, please get in touch with police.”
Anyone with information can contact police via 101, quoting incident number 2086 of 16 October.
