Two men die after horror three car pile up

Two men have a died and a teenage boy injured after a sickening three-car crash yesterday.

Police today confirmed the sad news after the smash involving a BMW, Seat and Vauxhall Corsa.

The crash happened on the A559 Northwich Road in the Cheshire parish of Whitley around seven miles from Warrington at 12.30am.

A 17-year-old boy driving the Corsa escaped with minor injuries but Cheshire Police said a 46-year-old man, the driver of the BMW from Warrington was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he sadly died.

The driver of the Seat, a 24-year-old man from the Middlewich area, died shortly after the crash, police said.

Police say the black Seat Altea Sport was travelling towards Stretton while the grey BMW and black Vauxhall Corsa were travelling in the opposite direction.

The deceased's next of kin have been informed.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any dashcam footage of the vehicles before or after the incident to come forward."
