Two men have died after drowning while swimming in a river in New South Wales’ mid north coast, with two more — including a pregnant woman — hospitalised.
At about 6.45 pm on Sunday, January 25, emergency services were called to John Locke Place in Glenniffer following reports of multiple people struggling in a river, ABC News reports.
Per the publication, authorities were told all three men — believed to be in their 30s — struggled to swim soon after entering Never Never River.
Two of the three men who were pulled from the water were unable to be revived and were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third man, aged 33, was pulled from the water and was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus with minor injuries. He’s currently in a stable condition.
A 31-year-old pregnant woman, who is believed to be friends with the three men, was also taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus after being treated for shock. She is now in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been established and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
